Neuro Science Meets Soul Connection

Since there have been human beings there has been a search for a connection with our own human soul and with the divine. Every culture before the modern had a spiritual sense of the universe. The spiritual connection was critical for the well being of the individual and also society as a whole. Often modern man has trouble understanding or feeling this connection, which was the norm before the modern era. Today science and ancient wisdom are finally starting to meet.  We know that the universe is much more complex than a mechanical universe in the old Newtonian model. Quantum mechanics proves that the whole universe is connected in the same way the ancient wisdom schools once taught. Will the 21s century be the time where humanity wakes up to the true nature of the universe? Time will tell.

As of now, much as science has achieved, humanity is in much worse shape because of today's lack of spiritual connection. The repercussions can be seen everywhere from mental illness, addiction, loss of hope, and the general low level materialistic discourse of the modern age. Great minds like Carl Jung spoke and wrote about how the greatest threat and danger of the modern age is man's loss of meaning. All of the fancy gadgets and increases in the standard of living do not fill the dark gap in the human soul that so many people feel today.

For Jung all psychological problems were at their root spiritual problems. Jung believed that people did not believe in the Gods any more but that the Gods came back in the form of modern psychological neurosis. Jung spent his whole life writing about the subconscious  and how important it was for the individual to acknowledge and integrate the subconscious. Jung believed that until humanity took steps to integrate the subconscious that humanity itself was in grave danger from the psychic forces that could be unleashed in the nuclear age.

Jung believed that "individuation" was the key to human life. That the true work and even beauty of life was not in the external world but in the interior. With one's own being. Throughout his life, Jung referred to the subconscious and its integration. Towards the end of his life Jung stated that he used the term subconscious to communicate with the modern Western mind. Jung said that he could have just as easily used the term soul and actually soul would have been a more accurate definition.

The same as when Jung was alive, humans still suffer from a lack of meaning and lack of connection to their own spiritual essence. Jung had many methods that he used to help people delve into the realms of the subconscious and integrate into wholeness. Today people still have been creating many varieties of methods that help others reach these realms and come back to the wholeness of consciousness. Applied neuroscience does the same in utilizing neuroscience and technology. In our field of neurofeedback, we can train the brain to reach the deep states of the subconscious. The same realms where soul healing and expansion can begin. We hope our field can be a cornerstone in bringing soul connection back to people again.
